Questions

About tax work

Anything else goes to your partner at the consultation.

When should I send my documents?

As soon as your forms arrive. Most arrive by mid-February; brokerage forms often come later.

Will you file an extension?

Yes, when a return cannot be finished well by April 15. An extension moves the filing date. Any tax owed is still due April 15.

Do you answer IRS and state notices?

Yes. Notices on returns we prepared are part of the engagement.

Can you file prior years I missed?

Yes. We quote each unfiled year once, in the engagement letter, before we start.
