The Studio Nope theme ships with five color presets. Picking the right one first saves you from fighting colors section by section later.
What a preset actually changes
A preset is more than a background color. Each one ships its own palette, fonts, spacing and corner radii, so buttons, cards, forms and headings all shift together. That is why switching presets changes the whole feel of a page in one click instead of leaving half the site behind.
Light Mode is the neutral default: near-white backgrounds and dark text.
Dark Mode flips that for product and developer brands that live on dark screens.
Midnight Blue keeps a dark base with a cooler, indigo accent.
Warm Neutral uses soft stone tones and an orange accent for service and lifestyle brands.
Forest Green pairs a calm base with green accents for health, finance and sustainability sites.
Pick the preset closest to your brand, then adjust
Start from the preset that is already closest to your logo and photography. Then change only what your brand guide demands, usually the accent color and maybe one font. Every setting you change overrides the preset; every setting you leave alone keeps the preset value.
If none of the five fit, choose Custom. It starts from a neutral base and takes every value from the settings below it, so you build the palette yourself.
Check the pages that break first
After switching, open a page with a dark hero, a form and a pricing table. Those three show contrast problems fastest: light text on light images, inputs that disappear into the background, and buttons that blend into their section. Fix those in theme settings, not on the page, so the fix carries to every page built later.
Keep it to one decision
Choose the preset once, before content goes in. Changing it after fifty pages exist still works, but someone then has to look at all fifty. Picking first and adjusting lightly keeps the site consistent and keeps editors focused on content.
