About

We are the people who ask why that step exists

Northbeam is a team of operators. Everyone here has run a function before they advised on one.

Our Story

Started in 2014, out of frustration

Our founders had spent a decade receiving consulting decks that described their own companies back to them and stopped short of changing anything. Northbeam was built to work the other way around: fewer slides, more time on the floor, and a plan the people doing the job helped write. Today we work across eleven sectors from two offices, and the first week of every engagement is still spent watching.

Our Values

The rules we do not bend.

On site before advice

Nobody gets a recommendation until we have followed the work for a week.

We hand it over

An engagement that cannot end has not worked. Your team runs the change after we go.

Measured, then measured again

Every change has a number attached before it starts, and the same number a year later.

The floor hears it first

The people doing the work see the findings before their directors do.

Plain language

If a recommendation needs a glossary, it needs a rewrite.

Built out of necessity and kept because it worked.

4

5

2026 - Today

Forty people, and still one week on site before any recommendation.

Trusted by operations teams across eleven sectors

On site first

A week following real jobs before anyone writes a recommendation.

Written plans

Every change agreed in writing with the people who run the work.
