Pricing

One theme, licensed by the portal.

What a licence covers, what it is attached to, and what changes between the three ways of buying it. The parts that are not included are on this page too.

Pricing

Three ways in, one theme.

The files are identical in all three. What changes is how many portals the licence covers and who it is issued to.

The licence

It is attached to a portal, not to a person.

One licence covers one HubSpot portal, for as long as you want it. There is no renewal, no seat count and no licence server the theme has to reach to keep working. The version you bought stays yours, with the updates and fixes we make to it.

A staging portal and a live portal are two portals. An agency building for a client buys the licence in the client portal, so at handover it is already where it belongs and nothing has to be transferred. You can change any file in the theme; what the licence does not allow is reselling the source, running one licence across several portals, or building a product for sale out of the files.

In every licence

The same theme, whichever way you bought it.

Nothing below is held back for a higher tier, because there is no higher tier. These are the contents of the download.

web

Website pages

Homepages, company, product, pricing, portfolio, resources, contact and legal templates, all editable in the page editor.

rocket_launch

Landing pages

Templates built around a single form or a single decision, with the site chrome stripped back.

article

Blog templates

Listing and post, reading the posts you already have, styled from the same theme settings as the rest of the site.

settings

System pages

The 404, the 500, password prompt, search results, subscription preferences and unsubscribe. They stop looking like a different site.

widgets

Drag-and-drop modules

Every section on this site is one. They work in pages built on another theme too, because they are modules in your portal.

palette

Presets

Light, Dark, Midnight Blue, Warm Neutral, Forest Green, and Custom for building your own token set from scratch.

tune

Design tokens

Colour, type scale, spacing, radius, shadows, buttons, forms and cards as theme settings rather than values in a stylesheet.

emoji_symbols

Icon libraries

Material Symbols, Font Awesome, Phosphor, Lucide, Heroicons, Bootstrap, Remix, Tabler, HugeIcons and the HubSpot set. One setting switches every module.

What arrives

A folder of templates, modules and tokens.

The same files whichever route you bought through. You upload it to the portal, pick a preset, and the pages on this site are the pages you start from.

Not in the price

What the money does not buy.

Four things people reasonably assume are included. None of them is, and it is cheaper for both of us if that is read now.

hub

A HubSpot subscription

The theme runs on HubSpot CMS: Starter, Professional or Enterprise. A free CRM account cannot install a custom theme, and that is a HubSpot cost rather than ours.

photo_camera

The photography

Images in the demo are placeholders and are not licensed for you to publish. Bring your own, or use the layouts that do not ask for one.

engineering

Custom development

A module that does something no field covers is work with a scope and a fee. Ask and the reply will say which of the two it is before it says a number.

swap_horiz

Migrating your existing pages

Pages you already publish keep their current templates until somebody moves them, and moving one means rebuilding its sections in the page editor.

Before you pay

The questions that come just before the button

Buying, the refund window, and what happens to the money if it turns out to be the wrong thing.

No. You pay once for a portal and the licence stays valid. There is no renewal date, no seat count, and nothing in the theme that checks whether you are still a customer.

Yes. Ask within fourteen days of purchase, provided the theme is not already live on a public site. Because it is source you keep a copy of, the window closes once it is published. Marketplace purchases go through the process HubSpot runs.

Yes, and that includes a sandbox or staging portal. One licence covers the portal it was issued in and does not move between them.

The client portal. You can buy it on their behalf and bill it through, which is what most agencies do. At handover the licence is already in the right place and nothing has to be transferred.

Nothing. Updates and fixes to the version you bought are part of the licence. An update replaces theme files, including ones you edited, so it is worth keeping a note of which files those are.

Through HubSpot if you buy from the marketplace, or by card through Stripe if you buy directly. We do not see or store card details on either route.

This site is the theme, running unmodified. Every page in the navigation is a template in the download, so clicking through them is the trial.

Ask before buying. The reply will say whether it is a field we should add, a module you could write against the theme tokens, or work that needs its own scope. All three are better answers than a refund.

Buying it

Start with the portal you already have.

Buy it where the site is going to live. If that turns out to be the wrong portal, the fourteen days are there for exactly that.

Fourteen days to change your mind as long as it is not live on a public site yet

  • all_inclusive Paid once, with no renewal date and no licence check
  • update Updates and fixes to the version you bought are included
  • code You can edit any file; you cannot resell the source
  • help Ask before buying if you are not sure it does the thing

One licence covers one HubSpot portal. Staging and live are two portals, and a client site is the client portal.
