How we started

It began with one exam room

PawCare started in 2009 as a single exam room on Maple Grove Avenue. Dr. Elena Hart saw a handful of patients each day, mostly for neighbors whose dogs and cats became regulars. The space was small, and most of the work was getting nervous animals to relax.

Word spread, the schedule filled, and we took over the space next door to add proper treatment, surgery, and an in-house lab.

Where we are now

Same care, a fuller team

Today we offer wellness exams, dentistry, surgery, and diagnostics under one roof, with digital X-ray and an in-house lab so most results come back the same day. We still take the time to handle each animal gently and explain every option clearly.

We kept the things that mattered from the early days — unhurried visits, a calm waiting area, and a team that knows the pets and the people who bring them in.

Dr. Elena Hart, DVM

Dr. Hart founded PawCare in 2009 after more than a decade in small-animal practice. She earned her DVM and has a special interest in feline medicine and preventive care, with a focus on low-stress, fear-free handling for anxious patients.

She still sees patients most days and leads the clinic's medical team, setting the standards for how every pet is examined, treated, and sent home.
