“We've delivered three terminal expansions with Meridian inside live operating airports. Their airside-credentialled crews, NOTAM coordination, and ORAT-led commissioning meant we ran trial operations a month ahead of opening day on every project — including the satellite concourse that opened during peak summer schedule.”
Aviation
Terminals, hangars, and runway infrastructure built to operate around the clock. Every project sequenced around live ops, ICAO security, and the airline tenants we deliver to.
Building inside an operating airport without slowing it down
Aviation projects are the strictest delivery environment we work in — no exceptions on safety, security, or operational continuity. Our aviation practice is run by partners with FAA, EASA, and CAA programme experience, and our self-perform crews hold airside-credentialled operatives across all five regions.
Average aviation project size: $90–280m. We've delivered terminal expansions up to 720,000 sq ft, hangar complexes, and a $410m greenfield satellite concourse. About 18% of our annual revenue comes from this sector.

Six capabilities every airport client checks for
-
Airside-credentialled crews
Standing teams hold ICAO Annex 17 airside passes across our regions. We don't sub-contract security clearance — every operative is vetted by us, supervised by us.
-
Live-ops programme management
Phased construction sequencing that keeps gates, taxiways, and security checkpoints in service. Daily NOTAM coordination with the airport operator and ATC.
-
Operational-readiness handover
ORAT-led commissioning. Trial operations with airline tenants and ground-handling teams six weeks before opening, not on day one.
-
Resilience engineering
Power, water, and IT systems designed to N+2. Our terminals have logged zero unplanned closures since 2018 across the active portfolio.
-
Airport-grade fire & life safety
FAR Part 139, NFPA 415, ICAO Annex 14 compliance baked into design and commissioning. We hold accredited assessors in-house.
-
Border and security integration
Working with CBP, Border Force, and equivalent agencies on layout and systems integration is standard, not exceptional. We know the protocols.
Aviation-sector questions
-
Can you mobilise inside a live airfield?
Yes — every aviation project we've delivered since 2017 has been inside an operating airport. Mobilisation, deliveries, and shift changes follow the airport operator's NOTAM and security plan, with daily coordination with ATC and the duty manager.
-
Do you carry the relevant accreditations?
FAA Part 139 awareness, ICAO Annex 14 design and operational compliance, ISO 14001/45001 across all regions. Our airside operatives are vetted under the host airport's security regime — typically background checks dating back 5–10 years.
-
What about night-only working?
About 60% of our airside work is night-shift. We staff and price accordingly, and we run shift-change protocols that minimise the security and supervision overhead.
-
How do you sequence ORAT?
Operational Readiness and Transition begins six months before TCO with the airline tenants, ground handlers, and the airport operator. Trial operations run for at least four weeks before opening day. We've used this approach on every terminal we've delivered.
