Meridian Build crew on site

Builders, by Trade and by Belief

Three decades of building the spaces where cities live, work, gather, and grow — with the same people, the same standards, and the same name above the door.

    Three decades, one philosophy

Meridian Build leads complex programmes across commercial real estate, aviation, healthcare, civic, and sport & leisure sectors. We have offices in five cities and standing crews on three continents. The founding partners have stepped back from day-to-day delivery, but the principles they wrote on a napkin in 1995 still drive every brief, every tender, and every site walk.

    Our Story

Founded in 1995 by two structural engineers and a project architect who shared a frustration: the industry treated clients, workers, and the planet as line items to be optimised. They started small — a single fit-out in a converted brewery — and made one promise: every project transparent, every site safer than the law required, every team member with a stake in what they built.

    Heritage

We grew without selling out. No private-equity buyout, no merger that flattened the culture, no chase for headcount at the expense of craft. Today the partnership is 14-strong, half of whom started as graduate engineers, project coordinators, or trades on a Meridian site. That continuity is why our clients come back — average client relationship runs 11 years.

We do right by humans and the planet

Meridian Build is committed to making a positive impact on every community we work in and every landscape we touch. We measure it, we publish it, and we adjust the practice when the numbers say we should.

What We Value

The principles that shape every project

  • Safety & Security

Zero-harm targets are not a poster — they're how we plan, schedule, and walk a site every single day.

  • Transparency

Clients see the same dashboards we do. No surprises at handover, no buried risk, no quiet variations.

  • Growth & Innovation

We invest in modular methods, low-carbon materials, and the people who push the practice forward.

  • Team Work

Designers, engineers, trades, and clients in the same room from week one. Better work, better calls, fewer surprises.

  • Community Outreach

Every site is somebody's neighbourhood. We hire locally, listen often, and leave the place better than we found it.

  • Craftsmanship

Speed and quality are not a trade — they're the same problem solved well. We sweat the joints, the finishes, the long-term feel.

Three decades, in five chapters.

  • 1995

Founded by two engineers and an architect. First project: a brewery fit-out in the founders' home city.

  • 2003

First international programme. Opened the firm's second studio and grew the partnership from three to seven.

  • 2010

Launched our in-house sustainability practice. First lifecycle-carbon report published the following year.

Major aviation programme delivered on a fixed-cost basis. Hit zero lost-time incidents across 1.4M site-hours.

  • 2022

Cross-laminated timber commitments embedded in every commercial brief. Five-city footprint complete.
