Consultation

Talk it through before you book

Half an hour with the photographer who would shoot your commission. We look at what the pictures are for, where they will live, and what the day has to hold.

What the call covers

  • 01

    What the pictures are for

A campaign, a masthead, a print for a wall at home. Where an image ends up changes how it is lit and how it is framed, so the call starts there.

  • 02

    The day, hour by hour

Timings, locations, permits and who needs to be on set. You leave the call with a plan of the day rather than a rough idea of it.

  • 03

    How the files are licensed

What you can run, where, and for how long. Print, social, paid media and archive use are each written into the estimate rather than left open.

  • 04

    What it costs, in writing

Shoot fee, crew, travel, licensing and retouching, itemised. The estimate lands the same day as the call and holds for thirty days.

Follow along

Before the call

  • Nothing. It is half an hour on the phone or in the studio, and there is no obligation to book afterwards.

  • Nadia, who leads the camera on every commission, with Ines joining when the day needs producing.

  • Dates you are holding, a location if you have one, and a sense of where the pictures will be used. References are welcome and never required.

  • The same day as the call, itemised, and it holds for thirty days.

  • Yes, for a week at no charge. After that the date goes back in the diary.

  • Come by. Studio visits run Tuesday through Saturday by appointment, and it helps to see prints in the hand.
