## Built on a promise to do right by our clients.
In 2009, Michael Harrington and Laura Chen left careers at two of the nation largest captive insurance agencies. They had watched too many families get sold policies they did not need and denied claims they should have won.

After 14 years at a captive agency, Michael founded Everguard to prove that insurance could work for policyholders, not against them. He oversees operations, carrier partnerships, and the company vision that has grown Everguard from three agents to thirty-five.
