GETTING STARTED ## Beginning your project How do I begin a project with Atelier Noire? Every project starts with a complimentary consultation. We'll discuss your vision, space, lifestyle, and budget to determine if we're the right fit. From there, we'll present a tailored proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment. Do you work with clients remotely? Yes. While we're based in New York and Paris, we work with clients worldwide. We use 3D visualization, virtual walkthroughs, and regular video consultations to ensure a seamless experience regardless of location. What types of projects do you take on? We specialize in high-end residential interiors, commercial spaces, hospitality venues, and bespoke furniture design. Whether it's a Manhattan penthouse, a Parisian apartment, or a boutique hotel, we bring the same level of dedication and artistry. Is there a minimum project size? We typically work on projects with a minimum design investment of $50,000. This ensures we can deliver the level of detail and craftsmanship our clients expect. DESIGN PROCESS ## How we work What does the design process look like? We offer two models: a flat design fee based on project scope, or an hourly rate for smaller consultations. Procurement, project management, and installation are quoted separately. We provide transparent, detailed proposals with no hidden costs. What is the typical investment for a full home design? Full residential projects typically range from $100,000 to $500,000+ depending on scope, size, and material selections. We'll provide a detailed estimate after our initial consultation. Do you offer payment plans? Yes. We structure payments in phases aligned with project milestones — typically an initial retainer, concept approval, procurement, and final installation. This keeps things manageable and transparent. Are furniture and materials included in the design fee? The design fee covers our creative and management services. Furniture, materials, and artisan fabrication are quoted separately as procurement costs, giving you full visibility into where your investment goes. MATERIALS & SOURCING ## Quality & craftsmanship Where do you source your materials? We source globally — Italian marble quarries, Japanese textile mills, Scandinavian wood suppliers, and artisan workshops across Europe. We prioritize quality, sustainability, and provenance. Do you work with sustainable materials? Sustainability is integral to our practice. We prioritize reclaimed materials, FSC-certified woods, low-VOC finishes, and partner with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible sourcing. Can I request specific brands or materials? We also introduce clients to exclusive resources they wouldn't find on their own. Do you design custom furniture? Yes. When the perfect piece doesn't exist, we create it.
